How relevant is the brick & mortar Christian bookstore today?:
Posted 11/11/2008 12:43:23 PM We''re living in a rapidly changing business climate and the role of the Christian bookstore is evolving. How important is a brick & mortar Christian bookstore today? What would you need from a store such as ours to continue to utilize it? In what ways do you think you are served better by other channels of supply such as the internet, discounters like Wal-Mart & Sam''s, big box stores like Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million, and mainstream bookstores? We need to know what you think so that we can effectively respond to your needs. Join us in a dialog here on this blog or call me at the bookstore (251-776-1515).Ken

Customer Satisfaction Survey:
Posted 7/12/2008 3:40:19 PM Well, the results are in for the ''08 Customer Satisfaction Survey and the results speak for themselves! We received 401 responses to our survey (more than double the previous years) and were pleased to see that customers are telling us that we''re moving in the right direction. We improved in all of the 11 measured areas and the range of impovement was from 8% to 16%. When you contrast that with the previous survey that was done in ''04 where we decreased in satisfaction in 10 of the 11 areas, you might see why we''re pleased with what you''re telling us. The comments you offered in addition to this are helpful in steering us to further improvement and to which areas we need to better communicate the changes that we''ve already made.
Have you read The Shack by William Paul Young, yet:
Posted 7/9/2008 9:34:37 PM Have you read the runaway best-seller The Shack by William Paul Young, yet Well, your neigbors and friends are reading it and it''s bound to come up in a conversation soon so you might as well buy or borrow a copy and get to reading! This intriguing allegory is well-written but is not without controversy. Turned down by major publishing houses because of the potential controversy, this self-published book has sold over a million copies since it''s release this spring with virtually no advertising budget. I''ll gaurantee that it will challenge you. Read it and weigh-in here on our blog on the issues that it raises.
