On Monday, December 8th, the Cottage Hill Handbell Players, One Accord, will be performing in our store from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Always the crowd pleaser, One Accord will be playing all of your favorite Christmas music. Complimentary hot wassail and cookies will be available. Join us for a delightful night of music and fellowship to celebrate the glorious birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The Mobile Laughter Club will meet on Monday, December 1st at 6:30 PM. This is a non-religious, non-political, non-perfectionistic, non-profit support group open to all people regardless of nationality, age, or walk of life. If you just want to come and watch, you are welcomed! If you want to simply learn something about the health benefits of laughter, you will. If you want to experience laughter as an exercise, it will will be fun and healthy! You should plan on coming out! Steve Durkac , a Certified Laughter Leader, a humor consultant, and former Providence Hospital chaplain will lead us in the Mobile Laughter Club, just as he has done with healthcare and corporate groups.

Author Randy Winton will be in our store in the cafe' area signing copies of his newly released book entitled, In My Shoes. In My Shoes is a book that will both challenge and encourage you as a father. Local author Sarah White will be signing copies of her new book, Heavenly Thoughts, in our cafe' on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00. She invites everyone to come and meet her and hear about what inspired her to write her book of poetry.

On Friday, December 5, 2008, Josh Purvis will be playing some Classical and Contemporary Christmas music in the cafe beginning at 6:00. Join us for hot wassail and cookies and enjoy wonderful sounds of the holidays.

Kenny Sylvester, local author of popular cookbook entitled, "Abe's Goody Book" will be in our store on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 4:00 - 6:00. Come and meet him and hear some of his stories behind the recipes. Also, sample a treat from the book!

Brad Sullivan, a Mobile author will be here on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00 to sign copies of his new book entitled, "Stepping Into Manhood". This is a fantastic book to buy for the men in your life. It is based on nine characters from the Bible and the traits that are needed to be the man that God calls you to be.
